ATP Light Rail

Austin Transit Partnership (ATP) is moving forward with taking private property to build phase 1 of its light rail project. The project will stretch from North Austin to south of Lady Bird Lake near Montopolis. Over 150 properties will have land taken by ATP, and some businesses will be so negatively impacted that they will be forced to relocate.

State law requires ATP to pay fair compensation, but ATP is primarily focused on completing the project as quickly and inexpensively as possible.
