Brady & Hamilton attorneys participated in numerous aspects of the State Bar of Texas (SBOT) Annual Meeting 2022 held in Houston, Texas.
Laura Pratt, after recently winning the election for President-Elect of the Texas Young Lawyers Association (TYLA), was also appointed to the SBOT Board of Directors. She was sworn-in to her new role on May 8, 2022, by Justice Debra Lehrmann of the Supreme Court of Texas. As President-Elect of TYLA, Laura will serve a one-year term as President-Elect, one year term as President, and one-year term as Immediate Past President of the TYLA, all while also serving a three-year term on the SBOT Board. She has also been recently appointed to several SBOT committees in conjunction with her new position on the SBOT Board.
Garrett Couts, currently serving as the District 3 Director for the TYLA Board of Directors, was awarded the TYLA Outstanding First Year Director Award. Additionally, Garrett served as the Judge Coordinator for the annual TYLA State Moot Court Competition, which is held in conjunction with the SBOT Annual Meeting.
