B&H Founding Partner Zach Brady quoted in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram
Brady & Hamilton founding partner, Zach Brady was quoted in a Fort Worth Star-Telegram article titled “Landowners to feel heat from ERCOT grid plan.” The article was published from Zach’s recent talk at the 2025 Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Convention and Expo in Fort Worth.
As part of the convention’s Land & Wildlife Track, Zach’s topic “Here We Go Again: The Next Texas Electric Transmission Build-out” discussed ERCOT’s multi-billion dollar expansion plan.
“… the state is considering two options. Option 1 would create an 850-mile path of 345-kilovolt power lines beginning around Granbury that would run down through San Angelo to an area just outside Pecos. Option 2 would create a similar pathway of 765-kilovolt power lines from the Granbury area to an area east of El Paso, along the southern border of New Mexico.”
Landowners who are impacted could start seeing survey requests from the Public Utility Commission as soon as 2027, and the project could be completed by 2038.
