Jacie birkenfeld

Jacie grew up on a cattle ranch outside D’Hanis, Texas where her family continues to raise registered black Angus cattle. Although not a Panhandle native, Jacie got here as quick as she could by attending Texas Tech University for both her undergraduate and law degrees. While earning her B.S. in Animal Science she was a member of multiple National Champion teams including the 2019 National Champion Meat Judging Team and 2019 World Champion Meat Judging Team. Additionally, Jacie was a member of the first cohort of the Davis College’s MILE program.

While attending Texas Tech University School of Law, Jacie was an active member of the law school’s Agricultural Law Association, ultimately serving as the organization’s President. She also participated in the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic, helping to represent clients in front of the IRS and Tax Court. Upon graduation Jacie was awarded the Edward R. Smith & Norton Baker Tax Award, the school’s top tax law award, and was elected to the Order of the Coif.

Jacie practices primarily in estate planning, probate, real estate, energy, business formations and transactions, and agricultural law.
