Rockhound Switch to Connell Switch 345kV Transmission Line

Oncor was recently given approval by the Public Utilities Commission of Texas to construct a new 345 kilovolt transmission line between the existing Rockhound Switch station and a new Connell Switch station in Midland and Martin Counties. This double-circuit line will be constructed on steel monopoles, typically within a 100 foot right of way, with an estimated maximum height of 195 feet.

To construct this new 15 mile long project, Oncor will be taking landowners’ property through eminent domain.
